Change Management Specialist
Position Description
The Change Management Specialist will originate and execute change management strategies and plans that maximize organizational awareness and understanding, adoption and usage and minimize resistance to changes for one of the company's top strategic growth priorities involving the design and implementation of new organizational structures, operating models, and business processes aligned with Abt’s strategic plan. The successful individual will collaborate with the leaders and business leadership teams to drive faster adoption by the employees, higher ultimate utilization, and greater proficiency of the changes to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply change management methodologies to develop stakeholder analyses, impact assessments, and communication and training plans in collaboration with the project team to satisfy Organizational Change Management (OCM) milestones for the project
- Organize and lead the change management activities such as weekly open office hours, focus groups, networking with internal employee resource groups, and other communication channels
- Attend working group sessions to understand the impact on stakeholders and ensure that communication and training materials address the impact.
- Advise project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members on the benefits of change management and coach them to produce deliverables with a change lens
- Develop communication and training materials for the implementation and adoption of the new organizational structure
- Create timelines and activities detailing the implementation process, specifically focusing on how employees' work will change
- Identify risks and create mitigation strategies
- Support and monitor process rollout to ensure adoption and minimal disruption of normal business operations
- Develop and customize written “What’s Changing” communications and presentations for the individualized needs of each impacted stakeholder group
- Identify opportunities to increase employee engagement and retention during change process
- Work with project team to conduct an After Action Review and/or focus group to debrief lessons learned
- Where applicable, leverage Abt’s Change Management standard frameworks, tools, and templates
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience rolling out changes to business processes across multiple corporate functions (e.g., human resources, finance, procurement, etc.) while considering interdependencies
- Experience in creation and implementation of surveys to evaluate change management and adoption
- PROSCI or other change management methodology certification a plus
- Experience providing OCM solutions specifically for organizational design projects.
- Experience drafting communication and training materials for the adoption of new business processes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing, and to lead presentations, training, and meetings
- Ability to work effectively on a team and collaboratively across departments and divisions
- Ability to build trust and collaborate with staff members at every level across the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree + Nine years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Seven years of relevant experience, or PhD + Four years of relevant experience
- This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $79,485.87 to $127,177.40 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis
