Primary responsibilities will include leading in the preparation, negotiation, execution, and tracking of study start-up, site, and vendor agreements. The Contract Manager will work directly with CROs and internal functional teams through each contract lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with AIS legal team to develop and finalize country-specific site/investigator Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) and parameters
  • Manage CROs to ensure optimization, quality, and efficiency of CTA and budget negotiations
  • Work with Clinical Operations Lead and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to develop global and country-specific site/investigator study budgets and parameters
  • Oversee CROs, and sites/investigators as required to review and negotiate study start-up documents inclusive of Non-disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), ancillary agreements, amendments, and other contract agreements along with corresponding budgets, as applicable
  • Support, negotiate, and track vendor study-related Scope of Work (SOW), Project Work Authorization (PWA), and Change Orders (CO) through execution
  • Support in the development of master templates and playbooks
  • Identify and escalate contract terms and budgets to AIS Legal, Finance, and other appropriate stakeholders
  • Present strategic contracting strategies to the internal and external study team
  • Liaise with internal and external study teams to coordinate and review contract and/or budget impact to start-up timelines and activities
  • Pinpoint and effectively communicate priorities, risks, and urgencies to applicable stakeholders
  • Track contract and budget negotiations utilizing AIS’s contract lifecycle management software, Agiloft
  • Facilitate the appropriate approvals and signatures for all applicable agreements
  • Review and distribute invoice approval requests and track for Clinical Operations Lead of assigned study(ies)
  • Support the AD, Clinical Contracts & Payments

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of global contracting experience
  • Experience negotiating global site/investigator agreements
  • Experience working with CROs strongly preferred
  • Strong written, oral communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and ambiguities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and communicate priorities and risks
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced, complex, dynamic organization handling multiple projects with tight timelines.
