General Function:

The person occupying this position is to coordinate effective mental health treatment for clients as well as to understand and implement clinical criteria as dictated by Alliance Healthcare Services funding sources. This person has the responsibility for the administrative and clinical direction of activities performed in the programs under their supervision..

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Human Services or related area – requirement
  • Licensed, in the state of Tennessee, in your mental health discipline – requirement
  • Knowledge of management and organization, and knowledge of the professional disciplines
  • Training and/or experience in the administration of mental health programs and demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability
  • Ability to work with conflicting or competing demands or interests of clients, employees, sponsors in the distribution of work, evaluating work and good program effectiveness.
  • Job requires individual judgement in patient assignment and case disposition, and in program administration.
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail; able to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all clients, AHS employees and community you interact with as an AHS employee.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a clinical team leader supervising and coordinating the service delivery activities of programs and staff under the supervision
  • Performs personnel functions: reviews for approval requests for sick and annual leave; reviews for approval requests for overtime; recommends personnel actions (hiring, firing, promotions); approves time cards; schedules working hours for personnel
  • Supervises clinicians and their clinical work; performs clinical and administrative supervision in groups and individually; reviews client-related data and judgements made there for accuracy and appropriateness; ensures that clients are clinically staffed and treated; makes case assignments based on clinical recommendations; reviews clinical dispositions and treatment of clients; ensures that clients are followed-up for treatment; coordinates client transfer to/from inpatient hospital units; chairs staff meetings to receive and disseminate cline-related information.   • Supervises all administrative staff at their assigned location.
  • Supervises the site clinic assistant
  • Ensures that security, maintenance and overall clinic operation, including but not limited to, licensure/accreditation standards, complaints and compliance issues are handled according to agency policy
  • Transmits to all subordinate staff the mission, goals and objectives of AHS as they are applicable to their programs
  • Is familiar with existing Center contracts with external organizations, standards for performance and communicates such to other subordinate staff
  • Supervises and causes to be maintained such physical facilities and equipment as they are assigned to the programs under their supervision
  • Provides clinical backup as needed
  • If supervising a Grant funded program ensures that all Grant regulations and protocol are being followed and participates in required meetings
  • Ensures staff at assigned site adheres to policies and procedures as outlined in AHS’s policy and procedure manual
  • Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor(s) to meet the needs of the consumer and AHS

Shift Availability:

  • Full-Time – Minimum of 40 hours per week (hourly)
