Department Secretary II

Position Summary:

The Department Secretary II schedules surgical procedures, performs processing functions, provides operational/secretarial support and cooperates and maintains relationships with other departments. This position is in contact with patients, patients families, physicians, physician office staff and the community. The Department Secretary II functions under the direction of the Department Supervisor to provide services based on established job functions in accordance with hospital policy. Performs all other duties as assigned. Education/Experience:

  • High School graduate with computer knowledge and word processing skills
  • Strong medical terminology background
  • Ability to function independently within the scope of the job description
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
