The Opportunity

The AR/AP Coordinator will be responsible for recording and maintaining Exosome Dx’s daily financial transactions, as well as managing, from an accounting perspective, several of the balance sheet accounts. A successful candidate will have experience working in an automated accounting system to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions, as well as preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. This is a small department, and it will be important to bring a knowledge of back-office processes, but also a curiosity towards the operations of the business, and a willingness to evaluate and improve upon existing processes as the business grows. Reports to Accounting Supervisor.
What You’ll Do/Manage Full AP Cycle:
- New vendors
- Invoice entry
- PO matching
- Payment preparation, including positive pay
- Make payments via hard copy check, ACH, and wire
Manage Full AR Cycle:
- New customers
- Invoice preparation
- Payment processing
- Customer follow-up as needed
- Be responsible for team and cross-functional communications (written and oral).
- Act as liaison between the project team and the leadership team as required.
- Define and track key project metrics.
Manage Cash/Banking activities:
- Process/record all banking transactions in financial system
- Monthly bank reconciliations
Administer Expense Reporting System (Concur):
- User management (new/terminated users)
- Evaluate/review expense submissions for accuracy and completeness
- Resolve submission issues with employees and managers
Other Accounting activities:
- Journal entry preparation/processing
- Monthly receivable and accrual account reconciliations
- Comply with SOX documentation and reporting requirements for areas of responsibility
- Support internal audit inquiries and requests
Who You Are & What You Bring:
- High school diploma
- 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting and professional corporate environment
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Outlook
- Proficient in the use of an automated accounting software system, Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
- Experience with Concur a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Professional demeanor
- Self-directed, independent worker and a creative problem-solver
