D365 Senior Business Analyst for Finance (Remote)

Job Summary:
The D365 Business Analyst role plans, designs, and supports the implementation of efficient and innovative configuration changes or required customizations in support of the Finance Department. The Business Analyst will serve as the IT representative to Finance and business functions. The BSA will be part of a dynamic team that envisions and designs ERP and MRP solutions and applies sound communication, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills to maximize the benefit of the D365 F&O system.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Analyst responsibilities for Dynamics 365 F&O supporting ERP and working with the MRP and Supply Chain functions
  • Engage business partners to gather, analyze, and approve requirements from business then apply industry best practices to articulate requirements for configuration or customization changes
  • Influence application architecture and design using clear business requirements working closely with the Sr. Architect.
  • Lead complex enhancement requests or projects in a cross-team collaboration between Finance, IT, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with development & testing teams on SIT (system integration test) as well as UAT (user acceptance test) with super user teams for sign off.
  • Issue resolution involving Costing, Tax, Fixed Assets, Margins and SOX compliance
  • Investigate production cost accounting issues reported by the Finance department
  • Review and help shepherd enhancements to maintain SOX compliance
  • Triage requests from Finance department and determine if they are a fit or gap within D365

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or Information System
  • 5+ years of Microsoft D365 application experience as an Analyst supporting Finance
  • Working experience in a regulated industry – SOX and FDA regulated
  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying ERP applications database
  • Experience with Power BI and Financial Reporting
