JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Understands and applies project requirements towards the implementation of a configurable, extensible, scalable, performant, robust system of systems (SoS) solutions for GOTS, COTS, and Open-Source software.
- Supports multiple highly complex projects simultaneously with the ability to collaborate in multiple engagements across project teams.
- Guides requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis.
- Guides the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- Guides Junior-level system engineers developing solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
- Assists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
- Supports the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
- Assists the Government in performing systems integration activities.
- Assists the Government in conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs).
- Assists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
- Operates at the level of integrating multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces.
- Provides technical deliverables and documentation as requested by the customer.
Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
- Knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories, and methods to identify and solve the highest complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses
- Knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end IT integration and testing processes, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations
- Working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: requirements process, system engineering of large complex System of Systems, or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Ability to communicate complex systems clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders and management
- Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle
- Familiarity with Agile practices including SAFe and Scrum
- Troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes of issues and provide solutions
- Self-motivated and proactive, able to learn quickly and apply new concepts, tools and applications
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex system/integration problems through innovative solutions
- Advanced problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
- Experience supporting large-scale mission systems and/or the U.S. Census Bureau is a plus
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Outlook and Visio
- Currently 100% remote
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, CLEARANCE:
- BS/BA degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
