Production Manager- Consumables and Reagent Manufacturing

Salary Range: $110-165k

Position Summary:

We are a high-growth, fast-paced business that designs and manufactures analytical instruments, reagents, and consumables used in protein research and bio-pharma drug discovery & quality control. We are looking for a manager to be responsible for production execution, resource planning, Shop floor inventory control, machine management, and personnel management/development. Generally, supports line employees and other managers, and implements company plans and policies. They will have the right combination of business knowledge, technical and people skills to promote their team’s growth and job satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze daily production results and determine efficiency ratings.
  • Timely and effective completion of manufacturing activities to support on time shipment of products.
  • Schedule and plan resources for effective manufacturing operations
  • Develop & hire a manufacturing team to build on a culture of continuous improvement
  • Improve quality of existing products
  • Review process and equipment capability to develop plans for continuous improvement
  • Develops and trains all personnel in the appropriate technical capacities
  • Manage the daily manufacturing operations and distributes manufacturing assignments
  • Collaborate with leaders and colleagues across all departments to achieve goals
  • Implement best practices for the production and testing of products
  • Apply ISO9001 or ISO13485 Quality Management System standards and requirements for release of biotech products
  • Deploy strong structured problem-solving methods
  • Ensure team strictly follows COVID-19 protocols, and lead efforts in enhancing these protocols

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or business field and a minimum of 5 years of progressive relevant management experience
  • More than 8 years management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to execute on multiple priorities simultaneously using critical thinking and problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude to build and lead high-performing teams with experience in a rapidly growing business
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance and demonstrated action-oriented, results-driven approach to quality. Commitment to improve manufacturing and quality metrics
  • Demonstrated use of KPI’s to drive organizational priorities
  • Structures lean/ Six Sigma skill
  • Ability to show initiative and to perform in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to manage people effectively
