How You Will Add Value: Manage our China based manufacturing operations, new product development initiatives and supply chain Netsuite implementation project.
What Excites You About An Opportunity:
- Act as a liaison between the China Supply Chain team and the US Supply Chain operation.
- Drive alignments on product costs, design changes , tooling investment, cost reduction opportunities for new and existing products taking into account product design, product requirements and product specifications and ensuring clarity of costs through the product development life cycle.
- Manage the implementation of Netsuite for all supply chain functions / roles in the US & China
- Oversee day to day production operations and ensure all key stakeholders have visibility into relevant KPIs
- Troubleshoot material, production, and quality issues throughout product lifecycle, pinpointing opportunities for continuous improvement
- Build out costing models, and track new developments through the product development process, from first factory quote through long term reordering
- Partnering with the overseas team, create strategic alliances with key sourcing, supplier, and manufacturing partners based on metrics of quality, cost, and overall vendor performance by utilizing supplier score cards
- Own regular and timely cost updates to various cross-functional stakeholders on current product costs, periodic variance in product costs, cost impact due to ongoing design changes and/or commodity prices etc. Provide regular and timely executive reports.
- Responsible for managing maintaining all supplier and product compliance documentation; proactively ensuring all audits and reports are relevant and up to date
- Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company
- Monitor developments and trends within the supply base and develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages and container increases.
- Communicate and develop reports to senior leadership and relevant departments regarding supply challenges, price fluctuations of materials and goods, and vendor pricing.
We're Excited About You Because:
- Proven work experience in China based manufacturing and supply chain management – with 5 or more years of experience.
- Strong understanding of various commodities like plastics, metals, electronics, and electro mechanicals; manufacturing operations; direct and indirect sourcing
- Ability to gather relevant information systematically; grasp complexities and connect the dots; seek input from others
- Eager to manage multiple projects and relationships while remaining focused on the key deliverable
- Extensive ERP experience with a very high priority given to candidates with meaningful Netsuite experience and expertise.
- Excellent English and Mandarin Chinese communication skills. Skilled in communicating ideas, concerns and direction, verbal and written with excellent presentation and speaking.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, often-changing environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Solid problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to show good judgment and solve problems independently
- A positive and friendly attitude combined with a healthy sense of urgency in completing work and responding to inquiries
