Salary Range: $105K-145K depending on experience
Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible managing cross-functional projects for the ACD brand in the Diagnostics & Genomics segment of Bio-techne. This person will work closely with, but not limited to, Product Management, R&D, Operations and Quality Assurance, with main focus on new product development initiatives. This will mainly involve managing projects through a phase gate process within planned schedule and budget, but also help driving operation excellence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide cross-functional core team leadership to 2-3 projects and process improvement efforts in a technical setting
- Oversight of all phases of the product development life-cycle process from Concept to Commercialization. Manage gate-keeping, design freezes, design reviews, change control, sign-offs, etc.
- Organize regular team meetings to monitor progress, track and mitigate risks, resolve/escalate issues, and review action items.
- Generate the necessary documentation and assist teams with creating project documentation
- Take ownership of hands-on management and tracking of overall team progress and provide management status reports and updates.
- Conduct Lessons Learned sessions to improve both program and project delivery
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of project management experience in biotech space and educational background in molecular biology.
- Certification (CAPM or PMP) or formal training in Project Management
- Experience compiling project plans using planning and presentation tools such as MS Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate within the project teams as well as to the leadership team.
- Excellent organization and time management/multi-tasking skills
- Comfortable in an ambiguous environment and drive informed, risk-based decisions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of regulated projects (FDA and/or IVDD/IVDR) is desirable
