Senior Force Protection and Integration Analyst

ANSER is seeking a Senior Force Protection and Integration Analyst who will support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSD(P)), Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Defense Continuity and Mission Assurance (DC&MA).

The analyst will:

  • Provide analysis on DoD antiterrorism and force protection policies, programs, and tactics and develop technical assessment reports on such programs and associated issues.
  • Support the DoD Executive Secretariat for Antiterrorism (AT) forums, evaluate AT/ Force Protection (FP) trends, and develop recommendations for DoD involvement in improving policy and programs to counter threats to DoD personnel and installations.
  • Support DoD officials in maintaining the DoD interface to the FBI eGuardian reporting system.
  • Communicate regularly with the Mission Assurance Directorate to ensure Force Protection and Law Enforcement issues are addressed in appropriate senior leadership forums.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE/Required:

  • 12 years related experience
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • TS (SCI eligible) clearance required

Preferred:

  • A thorough knowledge of DoD Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) policies and programs.
  • At least 12 years relevant experience working with DoD organizations, OUSD(P) specific experience preferred.
  • At least five years relevant experience in policy development and coordination/ implementation of DoD, Military Department, Combatant Command or non-DoD agency-level policy for protection of USG personnel and property from terrorist threats.
  • A working knowledge of the DoD operational planning process to ensure AT/FP planning is appropriately considered for a wide range of credible, and evolving threats.
  • A working knowledge of the role other USG agencies (e.g. Department of State, Intelligence Community, FBI) play in the protection of DoD personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze systems and operations, organize data and prepare analytically based implementation recommendations for AT/FP related policy issues.
  • Experience writing and briefing accurate and timely products to senior leaders that distill and convey essential information and sound analysis, anticipating requirements and proactively acting.
  • Ability to apply and translate portfolio specific expertise into senior decision-making support that furthers organization’s strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical expertise to strategic level, non-expert decision maker / leaders.
  • Ability to work within formal and informal teams by developing productive relationships with counterparts, disseminating information and collaborating with counterparts across DoD and the interagency.
