JOB DESCRIPTION:
ANSER is seeking a Senior Network Enterprise Security Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The OCIO develops and maintains a single, DHS-wide Information Technology (IT) infrastructure environment that is reliable and secure from the workstation to the data center to the mission application.
The primary purpose of the position is to provide project management and technical expertise to improve customer engagement management and service delivery, enhance performance, decrease potential risks, implement cost savings, and safeguard and enhance security for the DHS OCIO Enterprise Network Systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support the overall program initiatives, technical integration and safeguarding technologies across the DHS OCIO Enterprise.
- Serve as an investigative expert within the network security program to ensure proper identification, isolation, remediation, and reporting of security incidents.
- Provide project and technical advice to DHS OCIO and stakeholders on system implementations and upgrades necessary to improve network security.
- Assess the DHS Enterprise Network Systems environment for potential threats or vulnerabilities and report potential security incidents to the NSS Risk Executive and the HSDN Program Manager (PM).
- Maintain and update all system related documents including, but not limited to, the System Security Plan, Risk Assessment, Contingency Plan, and other pertinent documents.
- Monitor and analyze the security elements of the infrastructure (networks, servers, workstations, firewalls, intrusion prevention, and intrusion detection).
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to digital evidence and computer security incidents to derive useful information in support of system/network vulnerability mitigation.
- Perform security scans as required by documented process and procedures to ensure that applications, systems and appliances are at the proper and approved patch level.
- Monitor user activities on classified networks and deliver an automated flow of audit data to a community-shared information resource.
- Ensure security compliance per DHS OCIO security policies, regulations, and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, including 5 years in Business Request and Project Management.
- 6 Years of IT Engineering experience.
- Expert knowledge of network security actions required to protect, monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to network attacks, intrusions, disruptions, or other unauthorized actions that would compromise or networks.
- Expertise in the IT intelligence communities and knowledge of intelligence communities’ policy and standards.
- Strong communication, briefing, and technical writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance.
