Senior Software Engineer

Babson Diagnostics is searching for a full-time Senior Software Engineer to join us on our team. As a Senior Software Engineer within our Information Operations team, you will be responsible for developing complex software solutions using best-of-breed cloud technologies. You will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership working directly with our internal and external stakeholders and vendors. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for:
- Development of the company’s software solutions including eCommerce, CRM, ERP, IoT, and more.
- Leveraging state of the art cloud-based architecture including AWS, microservices and serverless computing.
- Implementing software development best practices for building highly secure and user-friendly software applications.
- Designing and developing the company’s data governance, analytics, and AI platforms.
- Continuously improving the company’s IT systems to better serve customers, partners, and operations teams.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in software development with at least one of the following languages: PHP, C#, Java or JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and statistics.
- Experience and expertise on cloud technologies, open-source methodologies, DevOps, modern design and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with system integration platforms like Mulesoft or Boomi.
- Self-motivated and hungry to stay up to date with the latest technology trends, and able to make sound technical decisions.
- Passion for improving healthcare through the advancement of diagnostic medicine, including blood testing technology and clinical laboratory science.
- AWS or Salesforce certification a plus.
Physically, the day-to-day functions of the role require:
- Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
- A normal range of vision and hearing (inclusive of candidates using corrective measures such as glasses or hearing aids).
