DevOps Engineer

An opportunity to do something big. Babson Diagnostics is searching for a full-time DevOps Engineer to join us on our team. As a DevOps Engineer within our Information Operations team, you will be responsible for developing complex pipeline solutions using AWS cloud services. This person will assist our efforts to leave manual, labor intensive processes behind and reach our goal of automation and managing infrastructure as code. The DevOps Engineer will be an integral part of the company wide efforts to establish DevOps best practices and develop repeatable automation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages Python, Go, Java,
    Bash, JS
  • Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying (AWS) serverless
    lambda applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation,
    Terraform, or other
  • Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins,
    Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab/Bitbucket, Travis, Harness.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall, AWS VPC.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture,
    such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka,
    Logstash, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Solr, and Kibana.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud native security concepts,
    DevSecOps, or MLOps.
  • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communications skills.
  • Ability to lead effectively across organizations and engagements, preferably from a
    professional services organization or similar.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards like HL7, FHIR and X12 is a plus.
  • Experience working with sensitive (HIPAA) data and security procedures is a plus.
  • Passion for improving healthcare through the advancement of diagnostic medicine,
    including blood testing technology and clinical laboratory science.
  • AWS certification is a plus.
