HHS Human Resources Specialist

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supports engagement on economics and policy matters with ASPR, HHS interagency partners and other Federal agencies as needed.
- Assist Federal staff to develop policy and options papers regarding health economics and preparedness and public health preparedness.
- Develop frameworks for decision analysis; provide support documents and option papers on key issues to Federal staff.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in conducting research using open source resources.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Experience applying tools and techniques from academic area of practice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ( e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar products).
- Experience and comfort with professional phone conversations.
- Candidate must provide documentation to substantiate fully vaccinated status against the COVID 19 virus.
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors or equivalent job experience in health economics, economics knowledge of public health and emergency medical counter measures preparedness.
- Graduate degrees preferred.
- 10+ years work experience addressing public health policy issues, using economic theory and Cost Benefit Analysis.
- This position is contingent upon contract award. Compensation is dependent on experience.
