Description/Job Summary
Arkana Laboratories is a growing company with a big mission that is looking for a responsible and versatile person to assist the licensing manager with departmental activities. The Licensing & Credentialing Specialist position provides licensing support to Arkana Laboratories' physician staff. By coordinating on their behalf with Medical boards across the country, your work will provide relief to the physician staff to allow them time to carry out the mission of the company. You will work closely with the Licensing Manager by being proactive in maintaining state license compliance while completing departmental duties related to specific categories of medical licensure.
What You Get To Do:
- Provide oversight of daily tasks associated with simplifying the Medical Licensing process
- Act as a Liaison for Physicians who are working towards obtaining additional Medical Licenses including License Endorsements, License Renewals, Continuing Education, Board Examinations and Physician Profiles
- Maintain computerized database records related to current licenses, pending license applications, continuing education, clinical memberships, and Medical Board profiles
- Monitor & Track submission of licensing materials sent to State Medical Boards or to previous employers/training programs to present progress towards licensing goals in an organized manner
- Assist with collecting statistical data for department metrics
What You Will Bring:
- Education - Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience
- Experience - Administrative office support role, licensing activities or a related field
- Collaborative Nature - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff and/or outside individuals and organizations
- Curiosity - A passion for learning and asking questions surrounding regulatory standards, processes, and computerized licensing databases
- Problem Solving - A persistent desire to understand and eliminate problems, and pinpoint areas for improvement
- Skills - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, proficiency in utilizing internet applications
