Job Description:

We are looking for a new member to join our experience team of Medical Social Workers at Beverly Hospital!

About the Job

Responsibilities include: Psychosocial assessment, supportive counseling and care coordination with respect to discharge planning and service coordination for adult, geriatric, pediatric, med/surg population. Population groups may include adult, geriatric, pediatric, neonatal, pregnant and parenting teens on inpatient medical and surgical floors and on an outpatient basis as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A candidate will have successfully completed a Master's degree in Social Work
  • Current Massachusetts License in Social Work

Experience:

  • At least one year related experience.
  • Must be able to triage crises and coordinate with collateral agencies.
  • Experience with protective services, child welfare, long term care, crisis intervention, chronic illness, hospice care, substance use disorders and psychiatric illness.
