Medication Use and Safety Coordinator

Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating medication safety best practices within the medication use system at Northeast Hospitals. Serves in leadership role on multi-disciplinary teams and committees providing oversight of programs defining processes for treating patients receiving anticoagulants and other high risk medications as needed by the organization. Assist in coordinating and review of organization-wide medication error reporting program. Design, educate, implement, and monitor medication safety process improvement activities consistent with best practices, regulatory standards, and state and national requirements. Performs assigned pharmaceutical care activities to enhance comprehension of workflow and medication use processes.
