POSITION DESCRIPTION:

ANSER is seeking a Multimedia Designer for the Training Management Branch (TMB) within the United States Marshal Service (USMS) Training Division (TD). The Multimedia Designer will operationally report directly to the Chief Training Management Branch and respond to instructional support cadre. The primary responsibilities of the Multimedia Designer is to design eLearning that is developed and delivered via Computer Based Training (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT) modules as well as design and production of USMS classroom presentation support material. Responsibilities

  • Work independently or in collaboration with agency subject matter experts, Curriculum Developers, Learning Management System Administrator(s), and other USMS employees and contractors.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and creatively translate abstract concepts and ideas into an effective visual form for use by a variety of media with an emphasis on eLearning and web-based modules.
  • Develop, deploy, support, enhance, and maintain eLearning course modules by creating and editing images, photos, video, audio, and animations for use in all learning formats for the Training Division and training of the agency.
  • Design, create and produce training material, logos, banners, marketing materials, stand-up classroom presentation support material, training aids, enhance and implement the curriculum development process within the Training Division of the agency.
  • Provide visual enhancement, instruction, and support to all eLearning products for the learning management system.
  • Ensure modules and lessons are Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) compliant.
  • Ensure courseware meet 508 compliances.
  • Assist with the production of written materials including but not limited to, Marketing Materials, Written Correspondences, Procedures and Standards Documents, Project Management Plans and Risks Assessments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of specialized experience which includes web-based media, graphic design, and production tools.
  • BS degree in Commercial Art, Fine Arts, Art History Industrial Design, Drafting, or Visual Communication.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with design and development of graphic and multimedia curriculum content, training materials, training modules, and teaching aids with specific experience in eLearning
  • Proficient with eLearning authoring and development applications (Adobe eLearning and Adobe Creative Suite).
  • 3D animation software packages in order to design effective presentations.
  • Familiar with Learning Management System (LMS) configurations and applications.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS SharePoint Designer 2010.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance from the DOJ.
