SUMMARY:
The Planner/ Scheduler, Sr. function is to drive effective business decisions, troubleshoot dynamic issues, monitor inventory and the development of a production schedule (Finite/MPS) necessary to maintain the core business objectives. This position will champion process improvements, drive cost reductions, leverage optimal inventory levels, prepare reports, analyze the best solution(s) options and summarizing information for leadership. This position will own demand planning and master data set-up information within the ERP system.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Program Management and New Product Development to ensure that the highest levels of customer service can be maintained, through proper planning, systems master data management and timely delivery of key process steps (part number and BOM creation), identification of material availability obstacles/timeline constraints, and solve supply chain related issues for new or ongoing business
- Responsible for managing key cross-functional Supply Chain Management (SCM) project and support on-going continuous improvement projects.
- Serve as a Supply Chain Analyst for data mining, "what if" scenario modeling, raw material shortage escalations and formulate leadership presentation information essential to drive intelligent fact based decisions.
- Report key metrics (KPIs), identify and facilitate escalations/resolutions, set the agenda and run the meetings
- Liaise with Process Transfer, Process Development, Buyers/Planners and Manufacturing/Operations Managers to ensure appropriate labor and machine time, material usage, and set-up/changeover times are properly managed by the master schedule and maintained in the ERP system
- Identify, communicate, facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve production scheduling conflicts
- Manage raw materials to identify, resolve, and expedite issues to ensure timely recovery response.
- Create purchase orders and materials planning to drive demand for the procurement team
- Act as systems thinker, business analyzer, barrier breaker, facilitator to lead/drive change
- Requires cross-functional collaboration, project management leadership, and basic understanding of all elements of the Biopharmaceutical manufacturing process.
- Support the adherence to SOPs and cGMP compliance accurately reflecting material status, labeling, movement, UOM, and inventory control of raw materials, management of WIP, and the handling, storage, and shipment of finished goods - under multiple storage conditions.
- Communicate with other plants to ensure proper planning, purchasing, materials management, and inventory control objectives and aligned strategies are achieved throughout the global enterprise.
- Oversite shall include two separate manufacturing plants located in Longmont and Boulder, Colorado.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Technical or Supply Chain Management; MS desired
- 5+ years of Production Planning, Purchasing, and/or Procurement roles using ERP systems in mid-to-large multinational companies (life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred) required
- Experience with Dynamics AX 365 preferred.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Planning & Inventory Manager (CPIM) preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
