POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) Business Solution Architect (BSA) will consult and collaborate with business teams to capture and analyze current PLM business practices and systems, assist in architecting future state PLM solutions based best practices enabled by computer-aided design (CAD) and PLM technologies, and ensure technical alignment with AtriCure’s PLM platform. This role will partner with business stakeholders and SME’s, IT solution architects, data analysts, solution providers, and support personnel following the Agile framework and delivery. The PLM BSA drives business collaboration and discussions on complex, strategic industry best practices (e.g., CM2), helps design and implement scalable, extensible PLM solutions.Develop concept/discovery to capture business requirements to develop and deliver PLM solutions as well as streamline and enhance existing business processes and functions.This role will navigate and address business needs across the company through collaboration, prioritization, and problem solving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Collaborate with the business and IT to model and analyze current PLM and CAD data management practices, supporting technologies, identify key challenges, pain points, and future state opportunities to bridge the gap between current practices and industry best practices (CM2)
- Collect and analyze data in support of business request feasibility. Engage with business partner to analyze business processes, summarize findings and depth of business need. Translate request to technical team for feature and user story development. Articulate the voice of the customer and prioritize user stories that provide the most value to the business units and deliver with the smallest level of effort by the development team to support the agile methodology.
- Assist the team in the design of future state PLM solutions (processes enabled by CAD and PLM technologies) based on industry best practices and aligned with Dassault ENOVIA 3DExperience PLM platform for the following areas: document management, quality management, advanced product configuration management, change control, managed CAD in PLM, requirements management, risk management (FMEAs), materials management, and integrations with CRM and ERP platforms
- Collaborate with business’ legacy system owners and IT to define the scope and requirements for migrating legacy PLM and CAD data to the configured 3DExperience application
- Perform basic mockups, configurations on the Dassault ENOVIA 3DExperience PLM platform to facilitate future state solutioning workshops and align with out-of-the-box capabilities to minimize configuration and customization effort
- Feature breakdown and story writing with acceptance criteria definition. Facilitate story grooming and develop tasks to support feature outline and objectives. Guide team through building test scripts for verification and validation and capture results. Communicate gaps in development as a result of testing outcome to ensure delivered solution and requirements align. Rectify results of bugs introduced in missed requirements.
- Provide baseline KPI(s) to measure success of the proposed solution/enhancement, post release. Drive innovation to support business strategic plans.
- Assists with the development of training materials, socializing, and training business users on the future state PLM solution and mitigating solution gaps
- Assist in project documentation creation and completion prior to initiative implementation (workflows, process maps, reports, turnover documentation, procedures) valuable for traceability, change management, and historical priorities and decisions. Placed and maintained in MS Teams for cross functional reviews and collaboration.
- Drive alignment across processes, applications, systems, and solution development initiatives
- Collaborates with other departments to improve quality of products and product development through project implementations and process improvements
- Provides critical reporting and analysis of business process performance and make recommendations for enhancements, cost savings initiatives and improvements
- Communicate with stakeholders
ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Experience with DevOps and Continuous Delivery frameworks, Microsoft Azure and DevOps specifically
- Familiarity with cloud-based Enterprise Application platforms used to support cross-functional business areas
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five years experience working as a PLM Solution Architect and/or PLM Business Analyst
- Minimum of three years experience using and/or configuring Dassault ENOVIA 3DExperience with proven ability to demonstrate PLM capabilities and facilitate requirements gathering workshops
- Ability to interpret complex business processes, systems, and associated data
- Ability to analyze data and conduct process mapping
- Ability to partner across all levels in the organization to initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Understanding of the various application development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, RUP, and Waterfall)
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to travel 10%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
- Minimum of two years experience working in the medical devices or health sciences industry supporting and/or providing business-process-enabling technologies
- Two years experience using or supporting CAD data management systems – preferably Solidworks
- Certified in CM2 for global enterprise change and configuration management
- Seven years of combined experience working in Agile environment with multiple teams and dependencies in an enterprise organization
