Product Purchasing Specialist

Position Summary:
Primarily responsible for product purchasing for OEM sellable product based on demand. The responsibilities of this position are to review purchasing requisitions generated by sales orders, consolidate purchase orders per vendor, dispatch and monitor delivery and receipt. Responsible for handling all confirmations, backorders, purchasing product delivery/receipt follow-ups, product receipt issues, as well as resolving AP related discrepancies.
This position is onsite, 5 days a week in our Centennial, Colorado location. Relocation assistance or a remote work schedule is not available. Salary range dependent on skills and experience is $19-$22/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage product purchase requisitions generated by order demand.
- Create purchase orders according to purchasing schedule and dispatch to appropriate vendors in a timely manner.
- Manage all purchasing discrepancies with suppliers. Document and resolve in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain analytic reports tracking supplier average lead times and updates on web when needed.
Education and Experience:
- Ideal candidates will have a college degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing or other field, or equivalent work experience. At a minimum, a High School diploma is required with at least 2 years of relevant customer and/or purchasing experience in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proactive problem-solving abilities including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action.
- Organized with ability to prioritize work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ERP and CRM systems required: experience with Microsoft AX and Salesforce.com desired.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as computer entry and/or typing skills are required.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and management levels.
- Strong desire to learn.
