Project Manager (Non-tech)
Summary/Objective
The Project Manager will work closely with commercial teams (Marketing, GTM, Regulatory, Finance) to effectively manage multiple workstreams and dependencies, and ensure successful outcomes by following the PMO processes and guidelines. This role will use project management tools to effectively manage the projects, identify cross-dependencies, communicate at all levels, implement PMO initiatives, track resource gaps, develop / improve dashboards, identifying critical path and implement documentation best practices across AURA. The ideal candidate would be someone who has led both traditional project management and agile based non-technical projects in a growing Technology company.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and manage multiple concurrent complex projects by acting as a scrum master for Agile based projects and as a project manager for waterfall type projects.
- Work with and manage key stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of business needs, define project goals and charter, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives
- Coordinate cross-functional team activities related to AURA’s shows & events, Go-To-Market, Customer experience and corporate strategy projects.
- Implement Project Management Office’s (PMO) processes and guidelines, execute end-to-end initiatives, and contribute towards steering committee meetings.
- Partner with other Project/Program Managers (technical) to solve complex project management issues and regulatory / licensing needs.
- Effectively use PM tools (JIRA/Confluence) to plan & execute work, report status, manage risk and dependencies. Communicate effectively internally and externally in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, develop project forecasting, and create & manage project schedule & KPIs.
- Experience defining and reporting on operational metrics and generating problem statements & business case that are supported by data.
- Deliver value by supporting project teams and by driving effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and other Project Managers
Competencies, Skills, Abilities, Qualifications/Required:
- Experience leading successful, non-technical projects in a growing technology company
- Experience with Project Management and communications tools.
- Worked closely with all cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical) to deliver high-quality products, features and experience to the partners and the customers. Attention to details is crucial.
- Strong communication skills (Spoken and Written) and ability to effectively facilitate discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to break down information in a systematic and consumable manner. Ability to synthesize a lot of information into clear, succinct bullet points.
- Strong interpersonal skills — ability to network with individuals at all levels and develop close partnerships
- Exceptional process and analytical capabilities
- Successful at getting buy-in for ideas with a demonstrated affinity for metrics
- Able to analyze information to find trends or diagnose problem areas
Required Education and Experience:
- At least Bachelor’s degree. Major in STEM preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional projects. Prefer experience in both Scrum Master and Project Manager setting.
- 3+ years of experience managing non-technical projects
- 3+ years of experience in project planning, stakeholder management, status reporting, risk management, budgeting and documentation.
- 2+ years of experience using Confluence, Jira and Office 365.
Preferred But Not Required:
- Project Management certifications, like PMP, Scrum Master etc.
- Experience using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau etc.
- Experience managing Marketing, Go-to-Market and corporate strategy projects
- Experience in facilitating campaigns, shows and events in technology domain
- Experience in customer facing role and partner management.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position doesn't have direct reports currently. However, it is responsible entire project oversight and interacting with all levels of people in the organization. Ideal candidates will be interested in and able to supervise future hires.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position.
- Core office hours are 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility.
- Able to work extended hours and weekends occasionally during shows and events.
Travel:
- This position may require some domestic travel.
