Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Supervisor - Per diem, rotating shifts

Position Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor provides clinical & administrative support to the nursing staff in the absence of the Nurse Manager and Nursing Leadership. Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs in accordance with the philosophy, established policies, procedures and standards of the Nursing division and the Hospital. Coordinates, directs and serves as the resource to nursing staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care in accordance with accepted standards. Clinical resource with strong organizational & communication skills in coordination & facilitation of patient flow. Coordinates the allocation of nursing staff resources. Interprets & clarifies hospital policies for the nursing staff & other personnel. Assists in the orientation & ongoing development of nursing staff, providing input to Nurse Managers. Supports and facilitates staff nurse attendance and participation at hospital meetings. This position requires sound decision making in critical situations.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Three years recent nursing experience
  • Minimum BSN or in process required
  • Current acute care and leadership skills required

Certification/License:

  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure
  • BCLS required
  • ACLS preferred
