RG Biomanufacturing Operator - Upstream

The RG Biomanufacturing Operator I is a part of the Manufacturing and Operations department located in Fargo, ND will work onsite daily within Aldevron’s labs performing tasks associated with Aldevron’s Research Grade (RG) services. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Research Grade Biomanufacturing team and report to the Manager for Upstream Biomanufacturing. The RG Biomanufacturing Operator I is expected to become familiar with all of Aldevron’s products and to be able to perform most tasks associated with the purification of plasmid DNA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity:
- Execute upstream manufacturing tasks including Upstream tasks including: Transformation, subculture, cell banking, shake flask growth, fermentation, and cell harvest
- Review daily work instructions and organize individual daily workflows
- Document production activities in the Aldevron Internal Database
- Coordinate production events with buffer preparation operators
- Perform various QC assays in accordance with standard operating procedure for interim testing of manufactured product
- Perform final adjustment and formulation, dispensing, and labelling of manufactured products
- Communicate the status of operations, production issues, and safety and maintenance issues to appropriate area management
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A.S. in biology, chemistry, or molecular biology preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, bend, and use hands for tasks like pipetting
Shifts and Hours available:
- First Shift Monday-Friday, 7 am to 4 pm
- Second Shift Monday-Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm
