Senior CBRN Exercise Integrator

Position Overview:
ANSER is seeking a Senior CBRN Exercise Integrator to work onsite at the Pentagon in support the Joint Staff, Joint Requirements Office for CBRN Defense (JRO-CBRND). This position directly benefits the Warfighter by linking Joint and Multi-Service CBRND Defense capability requirements to Joint and Service exercise and training events involving dynamic concepts of operation. The Senior Exercise Integrator participates in the support framework for the JRO-CBRND to develop Joint requirements for CBRN Defense within the DoD Chemical Biological Defense Program.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/implement the JRO-CBRND CWMD exercise integration strategy; support distributed training and exercise events to achieve the goals of the exercise strategy; assist the Government with the identification and mitigation of CBRND/CWMD capability gaps through execution of tactical through strategic exercises and training events in support of the Joint Staff and Combatant Commands.
- Provide expertise regarding exercises and training and leader development efforts supporting the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services and other DoD organizations.
- Support development of Joint Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTmLPF-P) Change Requests (JDCRs).
- Collaborate with internal and external organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize exercise and training opportunities supporting the exercise integration strategy.
- Provide expertise in the development and/or enhancement of CBRN Defense, Countering WMD, CBRN Consequence Management (CM), Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), and Medical CBRN Defense curricula and wargaming at Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) institutions to include intermediate and senior level Joint and Service colleges, and Senior Service Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academies (E8/E9).
- Review Joint/Service professional military education (PME) institutions' CBRND/CWMD curricula and exercises; develop recommendations to revise or update as appropriate. Maintain JRO-CBRND-sponsored courseware to include briefings, programs of instruction (POI), course syllabi, lesson plans, and student materials.
- Provide JRO-CBRND approved curriculum enhancement recommendations and integration strategies based on National Defense Strategy and Joint CWMD doctrine changes.
- Provide CBRN Defense, Combating WMD, and DSCA subject matter expertise in the coordination of, preparation for, and delivery of the Joint Senior Leaders Course (JSLC).
- Assist the Government in its role as the Joint Staff sponsor of Joint Publication (JP) 3-11 (Operations in CBRN Environments); provide technical review and input to JP 3-40 (Combating WMD) and JP 3-41 (CBRN Consequence Management); and provide general review for more than thirty other JPs with CBRN Defense or CWMD equities.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant technical area experience (comparable to a retired O-5/CWO5 or above or a former GS-14 or above).
- 5+ years’ experience on the Joint Staff, OSD, COCOM or Service staff.
- 5+ years’ experience in exercise planning.
- 5+ years’ experience in training.
- Knowledge and understanding of DoD CBRN Defense and Counter WMD plans, policies, doctrine, capabilities, organizations, and efforts.
- Knowledge of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Joint Strategic Planning System (JSPS) and Joint Staff Task Management Tool (TMT).
- Knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle, Joint Exercise Program, Chairman’s Exercise Program, and National Exercise Program.
- Knowledge of Joint and Service exercise simulation systems and supporting CBRN simulation systems and capabilities.
- Candidate must provide documentation to substantiate fully vaccinated status against the COVID 19 virus.
