This role can be performed at either of our US-based offices in Menlo Park, CA and Marlborough, MA or remotely within the US.

Position Summary:
The Akoya Marketing Team is looking for a Senior Regional Marketing Manager who can work closely with the sales and marketing teams to plan and execute on field marketing programs and events in US and Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the ideal candidate will have a life sciences marketing background, with an interest in leveraging events and digital activities to communicate with Akoya’s prospects and customers in North America.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work with Corporate Marketing, Product Marketing, and North America Sales Leadership to develop effective regional-specific customer segmentation strategies, promotions, and field programs
  • Lead the planning and execution of roadshows, webinars, user group meetings, event-in-a-box approaches, regional product promotions, core lab grant programs etc.
  • Nurture thought leaders to build regional speaker lists for webinars and other events
  • Collaborate effectively as a member of a global multi-functional team and possesses strong communication, organization, and planning skills to devise a regional marketing plan within budget and aligned with key corporate priorities.
  • Serves as the interface between sales and the global marketing and product management teams and can synthesize key customer trends in the region back to the global teams.
  • Keep a regular pulse on customer needs and market insight in the region and can translate them into regional marketing strategies that drive successful lead generation and product launch campaigns
  • Monitor the success of regional marketing activities through a mix of quantitative tracking with the Corporate Marketing/Digital Teams and qualitative feedback from the sales team and customers

Skills & Requirements:

  • 7+ years of life sciences marketing experience required, demonstrating the ability to efficiently plan and implement marketing and sales enablement programs to drive revenue growth
  • A background in the Biological Sciences is helpful and preferred but not required
  • Experience managing field events and tradeshows independently from conception to completion
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% for field events and regional activities
  • Enjoys marketing and communicating about innovative life sciences technologies at the bleeding edge of research
  • Enjoys good storytelling and building holistic brand experiences through field events.
  • Embraces new ideas and diverse thinking, and is able to quickly respond to rapidly changing priorities and circumstances with agility and graciousness.
