Spatial Biology Sales Specialist - BeNeLux (Field Based/Remote)

Position Summary:
This Sales Specialist role is a field-based position, focused on Spatial Biology: selling Bio-Techne’s cutting edge RNAscope, BaseScope and future technologies to academic organisations within the BeNeLux territory.
The position plays a pivotal role in continued success and growth of the Bio-Techne’s EMEA business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and qualify sales leads in the Spatial Biology area.
- Close profitable business by meeting or exceeding sales goals and objectives.
- Build and manage accounts in assigned territory, ensuring all information is logged onto the CRM system.
- Increase customer awareness of Bio-Techne and its RNAscope platforms. Be an advocate for new Spatial Biology technologies.
- Create and maintain relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention and loyalty.
- Devise and implement successful account and territory strategies that support increased sales and the strategic goals of Bio-Techne.
- Work as a team with Sales, Marketing and Product Development to identify product improvements and new product opportunities.
- Work as a team with Sales, Marketing and Product Development to identify and mitigate competitive barriers to increasing sales.
- Work with purchasing departments to understand procurement processes and develop strategies to mitigate sales barriers.
- Submit timely expense reports, activity reports and forecast reports.
- Ability to conduct “evaluation” demonstrations of products and trouble-shoot technical problems users may experience.
- Conduct both technical and promotional seminars and “lunch and learns” to educate potential customers and “seed” future sales.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education/experience: Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline or related field.
- Prior field sales experience or additional (e.g. PhD) academic experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in reagent and/or technology platform sales is desirable.
- Knowledge of the Gene Expression or Functional Genomics market
- Requires ability to travel extensively within the BeNeLux region, and other countries as required.
- Position requires overnight travel which may span weekend days and/or holidays. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid passport which allows travel internationally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present oral presentation to small or large audiences.
- Ability to implement strategic and tactical plans both independently and with a team.
- Demonstrate organisational, prioritisation and planning skills required for successful account management, territory management, and project management.
