Staffing Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW:
ANSER is seeking a Staffing Specialist to provide support to Human Health Services (HHS) onsite at L'Enfant Plaza in Washington, DC.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule interviews with candidates.
- Coordinate all details of interviews including travel arrangements.
- Assist with written and verbal communications with candidates and hiring managers throughout the interview process.
- Maintain job boards and assists with sourcing candidates.
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) candidate records.
- Create and run weekly tracking reports.
- Maintain records on applicant flow and outreach efforts.
- Arrange interviews for federal staff to recruit prospective employees and refer job applicants to specific job openings.
- Surface candidates and develop networks for federal staff to ensure constant flow of qualified candidates using web-based tools, agencies, and recruiting contractors.
- Support federal staff with the interview of applicants, provide recommendations to Federal staff on employment, plan advertising as well as manpower. requirements, provide employment information to applicants, and assist with internal transfers.
- Source and pre-screen candidates under Federal supervision, assists managers with reference checks, develop competitive job offers, and tracks candidates in the applicant tracking system.
- Communicate with hiring manager on the status of requisitions, candidate quality, and candidate pipeline.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in federal HR processes.
- Experience with the OPM USA Staffing system
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in conducting research using open source resources.
- Strong quantitative background.
- Experience applying tools and techniques such as phone interviews and an Applicant Tracking System.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ( e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or similar products).
- Experience and comfort with professional phone conversations.
- Candidate must provide documentation to substantiate fully vaccinated status against the COVID 19 virus.
