POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the production output of their product line. This includes assigning daily tasks to Production Associates, scheduling work orders, assuring proper material flow and availability, monitoring production output, assuring product quality, and minimizing material scrap. This individual will handle all the normal production-related activities and issues of their product line. The Team Leader will communicate status to upper management. They will monitor the production line to stay informed of product or process issues and will communicate those issues to the appropriate individuals. They are responsible for the proper training of all individuals working on their production line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Coordinate the activities of Production Associates of their product line(s)
  • Monitor production output to assure that daily production goals are being met
  • Monitor the quality of output at each workstation
  • Identify material shortages or issues that may disrupt production activities
  • Monitor production material scrap and report on defect trends
  • Communicate product and production issues to management or other appropriate individuals
  • Recommend work hours, including any required overtime
  • Maintain records as required by the Quality System
  • Audit, coach and train on Device History Records to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Responsible for working with production supervisor, production manager and/ or HR on all production associate HR issues
  • Assemble products per process specifications
  • Ensure products meet the current quality requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of AtriCure experience or combination of leadership, management, supervisory experience with production/assembly background
  • High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards
  • Ability to travel 5%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer/data entry skills
  • Previous Leadership experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as required
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use hands to grasp and manipulate small parts in a repetitive motion
  • On Demand overtime to meet production schedule may be required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
